TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE WEB PLATFORM FOR THE SALE OF SERVICE PASSES OF THE NATIONAL SYSTEM OF PROTECTED AREAS OF THE STATE.
GENERAL CONDITIONS.
The National Forestry Corporation, hereinafter “CONAF” or “Corporation”, indistinctly, is a private law corporation, under the Ministry of Agriculture, whose mission is “To contribute to the sustainable management of native forests, xerophytic formations and forest plantations through the functions of promotion, enforcement of forestry-environmental legislation and protection of vegetation resources, as well as the conservation of biological diversity through the National System of State Protected Areas - SNAP, for the benefit of society”.
In order to improve the experience of visiting the Protected Areas administered by CONAF, a system for the sale of service passes for the National System of State Protected Areas, hereinafter SNAP, has been developed and made available to the public, tour operators and third parties.
The “User” or “Visitor” is suggested, for these purposes, to read carefully the terms and conditions governing the use of CONAF's web platform, along with the scope of purchase of the ticket or electronic ticket, hereinafter “pass/s”.
By purchasing the pass through the Corporation's web platform, the Visitor accepts the conditions set forth in this document, expressing his or her full agreement with them.
In case of using the web platform www.pasesparques.cl for the sale of passes for the National System of Protected Areas, it is mandatory for the User to complete the registration form in all its fields with valid data in order to purchase the online services provided on the platform by CONAF. Indicating that the information provided is reliable and in case of being detected an alteration or fraud on it, it will be denied access to the corresponding unit.
Access to this platform is eventually restricted by security passwords for each of the Users, so the Visitor is responsible for all operations carried out in their profile.
The Pases Parques Nacionales system has physical points of sale whose stock resides in the same inventory of the sale as that of the web channels, responding to the same policies and conditions of access and validity indicated in these terms and conditions.
CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE WEB PLATFORM.
The User of the National Forestry Corporation's web platform agrees to use it exclusively for personal purposes.
The purpose of the Corporation's web platform is to make it available to Users:
Information regarding the sale of passes for State Protected Areas; and
A system to purchase passes for them, according to the conditions defined for each event, unit, trails or paths.
CONDITIONS OF SALE.
The purchase of passes to the State Protected Areas, made by the User are nominative and non-transferable under any concept and circumstance, and will be used on the day and place selected, according to the validity and term indicated in the conditions of the specific tariff of the Unit. The resale of passes to these sites is absolutely prohibited.
In its service, the Corporation promotes the concept of Visiting Culture, which refers to planning the trip, purchasing passes in advance, and being informed of the conditions of the units prior to the visit. The protected areas do not represent a common recreational space where precautions must be taken and foreseen.
The advance purchase of the pass does not imply a preferential treatment or access of the Visitor to the facilities, but it does improve the visitor's experience by allowing a more fluid and expeditious access to the Unit to be visited, all included and indicated in the value published on the platform in Chilean pesos and U.S. dollars.
The final price to be paid for each pass purchased through the web platform will be made up of the base price of the pass together with the operational costs, depending on the State Protected Area to be visited.
The web platform does not guarantee that the visitor will save the progress of the purchase process, therefore, it is recommended to carefully review the details of your order before confirming the purchase.
The transaction will be subject to verification by the company issuing the bank card or other means of payment chosen by the User.
In the case of foreign visitors, it should be noted that the payment system has the 3D Secure anti-fraud and security protocol, which allows verification of the use of debit and credit cards through the use of security keys or PINs, ensuring no subsequent reversal.
A transaction will not be considered complete until CONAF receives the authorization and the transfer from the respective financial institution. In case CONAF does not receive such confirmation, the purchase will be cancelled and the transaction will be without effect.
The User will be obliged to carry the pass containing the QR code, either printed or in some digital media. This code is displayed directly on CONAF's web platform and has no additional costs for the User, and must be presented at the access control to the State Protected Area, along with the identity card or passport of each person. If required.
The User who purchases the pass through the web platform will receive in the registered email address, in addition to the pass or passes purchased, two electronic tickets (for access and service charge included) that account for the entire purchase made, as proof of the transaction.
The sale of passes on the platform may be conditioned to the availability of quotas or limited (or sold out) admission stock to the unit for the day you wish to visit the selected State Protected Area.
CONAF disclaims any liability for damages of any kind that may be due to the lack of availability or continuity of operation of the web portal.
The User is responsible for purchasing the passes of the corresponding tariff segment (number of days, age range, national or foreigner, special discounts, etc.). In case the User presents him/herself at the entrance of the unit with a pass different from the one that corresponds to him/her, this pass will be null and void, without the right to a refund. In order to enter the unit, the User must purchase the pass that corresponds to his/her segment, using the platform www.pasesparques.cl or the means indicated at the ticket office.
In this regard, it should be noted that for security reasons it is not allowed to purchase single passes for children under 12 years of age without the company of an adult in the same session.
CUSTOMER SERVICE.
A help service is available to Users in order to answer any questions they may have regarding the terms and conditions, as well as to provide alternative solutions to those problems that may arise with the services provided by the sale of passes through the web platform at info.pases@conaf.cl.
Users can make use of the service by sending an email through forms available on the web platform www.pasesparques.cl in charge of the company's pass sales provider.
USER OBLIGATIONS.
The User shall be responsible for the veracity of the data provided to CONAF, as well as for updating or modifying them. In case it is verified that the data does not correspond to the User who wishes to enter the unit, he/she shall abide by what is indicated in the last paragraph of the third point above (Conditions of Sale).
It is the sole responsibility of the User to be informed of the weather and safety conditions at the time of visiting the State Protected Areas. In addition to having a state of health compatible with the activities to be carried out in the units, as well as having the appropriate equipment and safety to carry out such activities.
The visitor to the Protected Area is obliged to keep his or her QR code available at all times, both at the entrance to the unit and in the different sectors, since it may be required at any time by the Park Ranger personnel.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY.
The National Forestry Corporation will endeavor to ensure that the information contained in the web platform is complete, accurate and up to date. However, it is not in a position to guarantee the completeness, accuracy or validity of all the information provided. Therefore, CONAF disclaims, in accordance with the regulations governing the matter, any liability for damages of any nature that may be due to the presence of viruses or the presence of other elements in the contents that may cause alterations in the computer system, electronic documents or files of the users.
It does not guarantee an error-free and uninterrupted service and does not ensure or guarantee any specific result from the use of the web platform.
In cases of inaccuracies or errors, CONAF reserves the right to correct or make any changes without prior notice.
CONAF is not responsible for damages or injuries suffered by Users or third parties during the development of the visit to the different State Protected Areas.
Neither is it responsible for expenses incurred by Users for the purchase, assistance and/or modification and cancellation of any pass.
In case of necessity, unforeseen circumstances or force majeure, CONAF may cancel the sale of passes to the different State Protected Areas, in order to protect the ecosystems present in these areas and the safety of its workers and visitors.
The cancellation of the pass will be notified to the User by means of a notice to the e-mail registered in the web platform, in addition to, eventually, being published in the web platform of such situation.
Regarding free services or exemptions that may be provided in each of the units attached to the platform, they may suffer cancellation or modification of conditions and in which case these changes or adjustments do not entitle the User to compensation from CONAF, therefore it is suggested that the User be informed in advance in the respective Unit that he/she wishes to visit.
DEMANDING ACTIVITIES AND HEALTH CONDITIONS.
Health and safety requirements are established for those visitors who will participate in physically demanding activities in the different State Protected Areas. Carrying out these activities involves risks, and it is crucial that visitors comply with these provisions to ensure their own safety and that of others, such as evaluation of physical fitness, having the necessary experience and skills to practice the activity, risk assessment, adequate equipment, prior medical evaluation, specific medical conditions, following instructions from park rangers, among other precautions.
Carrying out outdoor activities in remote or isolated areas involves risks, and it is crucial that visitors comply with these provisions to ensure their own safety and that of others.
RETURN AND/OR REISSUANCE POLICY OF THE WEB PLATFORM FOR THE SALE OF SERVICE PASSES OF THE NATIONAL SYSTEM OF PROTECTED AREAS OF THE STATE.
RETURN AND/OR REISSUE POLICY.
CONAF expressly declares that no refunds will be made once the purchase process has been completed. For this reason, we invite Users to carefully review this refund policy and the details of their request before confirming the purchase.
The above statement is in accordance with the provisions of article 3 bis, letter b) of law number 19.496, On Protection of Consumers' Rights.
In the event that the State Protected Area must be closed due to force majeure (natural or anthropogenic catastrophes such as: volcanic eruptions, floods, landslides, earthquakes, forest fires, etc.), or by sanitary disposition of the supervising entity, we will proceed to refund 100% of the amounts collected or reissue to our Users, after validation, authorization and coordination by CONAF and its pass sales provider.
The rescheduling process must be done within a maximum of 24 hours before the visit stipulated in the pass, in addition to only having the feasibility to be done once on a voluntary basis, where you can choose, for the same park, reserve or monument, between dates with only one month after the date of visit as long as there is available capacity, and the unit is with attention.
The pass must be total, that is to say, if the user has already entered the unit, there is no refund for the return of the pass.
The cancellation by request of the visitor is not considered as a feasible measure within our policy.
